Welcome to Artbreak...

Based in Swansea, South Wales, Tina Grant has travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad and this is reflected in her distinctive style, which is expressed in both the cooler coastal landscapes of the UK, through to the warmer notes of Southern Europe and America.
Painting mainly in oil on canvas, Tina’s experience also encompasses acrylics, sketching, drawing and watercolours.
Tina's love of Art began at school in Swansea and expanded through the academic route of a BA in Fine Art Painting at Cheltenham School of Art (part of the University of Gloucestershire) and a Masters in Fine Art Drawing at Oxford Brooke's University. Having been drawn to the more abstract modes of art, Tina expanded her repertoire by joining a forward thinking group of radical artists in Wiltshire, who pushed the boundaries and successfully exhibited across the West of England.
Tina is an experienced teacher who initially provides tuition in not only the practice of art but also the theory and art history.

This grounding encourages students to find their own artistic voice and individual expression. Tina is an empathetic tutor who fully understands the fears and doubts of the new artist.
However, her warm and approachable manner allows even absolute beginners to slowly gain confidence and flourish.
Tina has recently been invited to exhibit at the Swansea Open 2017 Annual Exhibition held at the prestigious public art gallery Glynn Vivian Art Gallery Swansea, South Wales, The home of many noted works of fine art from Gainsborough to Pissaro, The exhibition was curated by Rabal Ghazoul who exhibited at the 2015 Venice Biennale, Andreas Ruthi, Senior Lecturer of Fine Art at the Newport School of Art, Media and Design at the University of Wales, Newport. and Owen Sheers, Welsh poet, author, playwright and TV presenter.
